Why you'll love it
The right knife for every job with the Heritage 6-Piece Set.
Two gyutos and a kiritsuke handle the big prep, the nakiri takes care of vegetables, and the utility and bunka do the small jobs. You stop grabbing whatever's clean and start using the knife that's made for it.
The Heritage knives have sandalwood handles, so the whole set looks like it belongs together on the worktop. Every blade is Damascus steel hardened to 60-62 HRC, so the edges stay sharp for a long time between sharpenings.
Every knife in the set comes with a lifetime warranty.
What's included
Gyuto chef's knife 23 cm: The ultimate all-purpose knife for professional precision.
Gyuto chef's knife 20 cm: A versatile essential for daily chopping and slicing.
Kiritsuke knife 19 cm: A hybrid blade for both slicing and detailed cutting.
Nakiri vegetable knife 18 cm: Specially designed for effortless vegetable chopping.
Utility knife 15 cm: Ideal for precise slicing of smaller ingredients.
Bunka knife 14 cm: A compact yet powerful blade for controlled cutting.
Blade & performance
Forged from 67 layers of Damascus steel and hardened to 60-62 HRC, for a razor-sharp edge that lasts and a wave pattern that is different on every blade.
Hardness: 60-62 HRC
Damascus: 67 layers
Care
Hand wash each knife with warm water and a drop of soap, then dry it right away. Never put it in the dishwasher: the heat and detergent dull the edge and damage the handle.
Hone each knife every few weeks and use a whetstone a few times a year, depending on how much you cook.
Delivery & returns
Free delivery on every order, tracked with Royal Mail. It arrives in 1 to 4 working days.
You have 200 days to return it. Return postage is on you, unless the knife is defective.
Lifetime warranty
Every Galaxy knife is covered for life against defects in material and workmanship. Something wrong with your blade? Send a photo to info@galaxyknives.com and we sort it out.
Not covered: damage from misuse or the dishwasher.
Every blade is forged from 67 layers of Damascus steel around a high carbon core, then hardened to 60-62 HRC. That is why it bites into a tomato skin instead of sliding over it, and why it holds its edge long after a supermarket knife has given up.
A good knife is one of the few gifts that gets used every single day. Every Galaxy knife ships in its own gift box, so it is ready to hand over the moment it arrives.

Hand wash your knife and dry it right after use, that alone keeps the edge in shape far longer. Hone it every few weeks and put it on a whetstone a few times a year, depending on how much you cook.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
No. Detergent and heat dull the edge and damage the handle. Hand wash only, then dry it thoroughly.

I bought this as an upgrade for our kitchen and it has absolutely delivered. The Nakiri is the standout for me. I’ve been using it for carrots and the cuts are clean with very little effort. Tomatoes and herbs are where I noticed the sharpness most.
I didn’t expect the Kiritsuke to become my favourite, but it is perfect for clean, controlled slicing, particularly with capsicum. The balance between blade and handle is probably my favourite part. Definitely one of the better kitchen purchases I’ve made.
I bought the set mainly for the range of knives, but the balance and finish impressed me just as much. The Damascus pattern is nicer in person and each blade has a slightly different look. The edge on the 9-inch chef's knife is excellent. It handles pumpkin with much more control than my old knives.
The Kiritsuke feels balanced and predictable, which makes clean, controlled slicing a lot more enjoyable. The Damascus pattern is nicer in person and each blade has a slightly different look. Very happy with the set.
The Bunka has been excellent for quick detailed prep; it goes through garlic cleanly without needing to saw or push. They feel refined rather than delicate, which is exactly what I wanted. For a home cook, this is more than enough knife for anything I normally make.
I bought these for my partner and we both ended up using them constantly. The edge on the Bunka is excellent. It handles garlic with much more control than my old knives. The 67-layer Damascus steel was one of the reasons I chose this set.
I wanted one complete set rather than buying knives one at a time, and this has covered everything we normally cook. The Kiritsuke is the standout for me. I’ve been using it for capsicum and the cuts are clean with very little effort. A genuinely useful upgrade rather than something that just looks nice. I hand wash and dry them straight away and they still look great.
These were sharp straight out of the box and felt comfortable from the first use. The Nakiri is the standout for me. I’ve been using it for carrots and the cuts are clean with very little effort.
I bought these for my partner and we both ended up using them constantly. I keep reaching for the Kiritsuke, especially for clean, controlled slicing. Salmon is noticeably quicker and cleaner to prep now. For a home cook, this is more than enough knife for anything I normally make.
Bought this as a birthday gift and it went down extremely well. For clean, controlled slicing, the Kiritsuke has been spot on. Even salmon feels much easier to work through. Very happy with the set.
For larger prep jobs, the 9-inch chef's knife has been spot on. Even watermelon feels much easier to work through. I also really like the warm sandalwood handles and Damascus pattern; it looks premium but still feels practical enough for daily use. It has made weeknight cooking much more enjoyable. The 67-layer Damascus steel was one of the reasons I chose this set.
The Damascus pattern is nicer in person and each blade has a slightly different look. The 8-inch chef's knife is the standout for me. I’ve been using it for onions and the cuts are clean with very little effort. For a home cook, this is more than enough knife for anything I normally make.
I bought this as an upgrade for our kitchen and it has absolutely delivered. I keep reaching for the Nakiri, especially for vegetable prep. Sweet potato is noticeably quicker and cleaner to prep now. Definitely one of the better kitchen purchases I’ve made.
The natural sandalwood handles give the set a really distinctive look without feeling flashy. The Bunka is the standout for me. I’ve been using it for herbs and the cuts are clean with very little effort. So far they’ve been excellent.
I bought these for my partner and we both ended up using them constantly. The finish is tidy and the handles have a comfortable, secure feel. I didn’t expect the 8-inch chef's knife to become my favourite, but it is perfect for everyday chopping and slicing, particularly with onions.
I was a little hesitant spending this much on a knife set, but after using it for a few weeks I understand the difference. The handle shape is comfortable even when I’m doing a longer batch of prep. For clean, controlled slicing, the Kiritsuke has been spot on. Even salmon feels much easier to work through.
